"The skylark project" is intended to be a sort of 'alter-ego' for some of my more experimental projects. (The late Paul 'Hoops' Turrell gave me the nickname 'Mickey Skylark' so the name is a bit of a tip of the hat to his memory.)

One of the many motivations for this project is an online organization called "National Solo Album Month" (or NaSoAlMo for short) which encourages folks to try to write and record and entire album, at least 30 minutes long, each November. This is my second year participating- in addition to doing my own albums under the name "Mike Skliar" (also on bandcamp, the latest two are 'Summer of the orange disaster' and 'Whatever magic...', the latter of which shares a few tracks with this album here.

Enjoy! It's something done quick, down and dirty, and in places is not all that polished, but hopefully it's a fun listen.
